He was finally moving on at least somewhat after losing his wife, but Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) will receive an unexpected Christmas Miracle when he realizes Abigail (Marci Miller) is in fact still alive and back in Salem on Days of Our Lives.  

Chad and Gabi (Camilla Banus) had decided to start seeing one another after he figured it was time to move on from Abigail, and Gabi became angry at JJ (Casey Moss) because he was keeping a secret from her and wouldn't tell her what it was. However, now, after Gabi leaves the mansion with promises to come back later for more Christmas celebrating, Chad will go to check on his son, Thomas, and will be stunned to find none other than Abigail there.

What Chad has been unaware of is that Abigail has actually been back for a while, and was planning on revealing the truth about herself. However, when she finally got up the courage to do so, she wound up seeing him and Gabi making out-and it made her decide that he had moved on, and revealing she was alive would just make things difficult. She had decided instead to just leave town for good and let Chad continue believing she was dead.

However, before she left, she wanted to make sure she got a chance to say goodbye to her son one last time, and snuck into the mansion so she could. It is there where Chad will find her again, and be shocked by his wife's presence.

The moment will be a miracle for the pair, but it could also be a short-lived one. While Chad will initially be very happy to see her alive, he likely won't stay that way for long, since it will mean she faked her death, and it could lead to some major complications.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
