The Los Angeles Lakers season could be in jeopardy this early. As they continue to plunge down that Western Conference standing, rumors are saying that they must make a move to salvage their season. And a possible trade deal with Memphis Grizzlies could be the answer to their misery with Nick Young and Tony Allen as trade pieces on the rumored deal.

Young was a familiar name in the rumors mills in the past. Last March, he and teammate D'Angelo Russell was involved in a controversy after a video of them leaked talking about Young admission of his infidelity with singer Iggy Azalea. Since then, many reports have circulated that the Lakers might trade one of them in order not to disrupt their team chemistry.

However, the Lakers still stick with both players as they mend to put behind what happened. But reports are now rumbling that the Lakers are said to be decided of trading Young due to his off-court problems and inconsistent play just recently.

According to The Inquisitr, since the Los Angeles Lakers already have a young core of D'Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson, Julius Randle and Brandon Ingram to build around for their future, Young has been dispensable for the team and trading him could bring a bit value in the trade market for the them. And it appears that the Memphis Grizzlies have an asset to offer for the Lakers.

Trade scenario is saying that Nick Young will be moved to the Grizzlies in exchange for Tony Allen who will be heading to the Lakers. The trade seems viable for both teams as they swap to shooting guard with different skill sets.

The Grizzlies will surely benefit from Young as an added firepower on the offensive end. Young is averaging 14.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game and they can take advantage of Young's recent rise to address their deficiency in scoring.

On the other hand, the Lakers will obtain Allen who can give veteran leadership and defensive toughness for their young core as per stated in the report. Allen have been voted to the NBA All-Defensive First Team 3 times and his skill will be an upgrade on Lakers defense.

The trade will also work under the NBA trade rules and salary cap restriction as per checking with ESPN NBA Trade Machine it making a legal deal for both teams. It is now in the hands of the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies if they are willing to move Nick Young and Tony Allen.
