She has so far been protected from those who are after her in the prison thanks to Hattie (Deidre Hall) and Chile (Dot-Marie Jones), but after Chile's shocking murder, Hope (Kristian Alfonso) will realize she needs to do whatever she can to make sure her life in prison isn't the way her story ends on Days of Our Lives.

The mean girls want to attack her and hurt her, but have been foiled at every attempt thus far, and now that they've eliminated her biggest protector, Hope knows she's in trouble. In an attempt to try and protect herself so she can hopefully one day go back home to her family, she will start coralling other inmates to try and form an army that will take the others down.

However, as she works on the moves to keep herself protected, some shocking new developments could impact her being in prison in the first place. Hope was put in jail because she murdered Stefano, but her loved ones have been trying everything to get her out on an appeal because it's become alarmingly clear that Stefano set her up for kill him.

Now, after some looking into things, Shane (Charles Shaugnessy) has brought shocking news to Rafe (Galen Gerig), Marlena (Deirdre Evans), Roman (Josh Charles), Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans). Not only did Stefano set things up, but he could potentially still be alive-because the body in his grave isn't him. And if Hope didn't kill him, then she's in prison for a crime she didn't actually commit.

Days of Our Lives airs Monday-Friday at 1 p.m. on NBC.
