Star Wars: Episode 8 is undeniably one of the most anticipated movies next year. The space action sequel trilogy, Star Wars, will be releasing its second installment by the end of 2017 and fans could not wait to see what the upcoming film could offer this time.

The hit space opera film had recently released its first stand-alone film, Rogue One, which also showed a positive review commercially even after roughly two weeks only from its release date. The upcoming sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is expected to be more successful commercially and critically.

Actor Adam Driver, who portrays the character Kylo Ren in the film, had shared how brilliant he thinks their filmmaker, Rian Johnson, is. Reportedly, the movie suffered leakage in scriptwriting and on-set production but Johnson has managed to lead the team forward despite the problems.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, Driver mentioned that the director always understands the importance of ambiguity and nuance, and that he has written something about the film that he thinks is remarkable. The plot of the upcoming film remains to be a secret and it was speculated that the official trailer will be shown by mid-2017.

Meanwhile, a report from Cinema Blend has hinted that it might be impossible for actress Carrie Fisher to return as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies. Just recently, it was reported that the actress suffered a heart attack which means that the character may not be showing anymore in the future.

As per the source, producers have shared how Fisher's absence may affect the sequel trilogy. Leia Organa, former princess of Alderaan and now a general in the Resistance, is one of the important characters in the franchise.

In Star Wars: Episode 8, the character apparently plays a big role and will have a larger screen time, unlike that of the previous installment. This is reportedly because General Leia has a significant role within the politics of the larger universe.

Aside from this, being the sister of Luke Skywalker has involved her to play an important part in the franchise. Losing the character would be a dismay, not only for the films but for the millions of fans that watch it.
