It is puzzling what exactly Angelina Jolie finds so objectionable about her six children meeting their father Brad Pitt.

Hearteningly, they did meet up for Christmas, but it put her into a towering rage, according to Hollywood Life.

"Angelina [was] furious about this. She's having a meltdown. She can't believe it's happening. After being told that the kids were cleared to visit Brad at his house she tried to change the terms and have the visit at her home. But she was firmly told no. And that made her furious," a source close to the ugly custody battle said.

The 41-year-old just didn't like it that the 53-year-old father had access to their six children, says InTouch Weekly. It was approved by a therapist, hence the six - Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, Vivienne and Knox, 7 - were permitted to spend Christmas Day with Brad Pitt.

So Brad Pitt did have a good Christmas and managed to get some quality time with them, although Angelina Jolie tried her best to carve out a different day for them all.

The source added, "this is a big victory for Brad as Angelina didn't even want the kids to see him on Christmas."

Maddox and Pax, the oldest of the six children, had the option not to meet him. But so far, it isn't clear whether they did or not.

The battle over the custody had heated up, with Brad Pitt filing court documents on Dec 21.  He tried to seal their children's records, slamming his estranged wife for "ignoring" what was best for them. But while he had been cleared of child abuse, there was no moving forward in the case by even an inch, as nothing seemed to be solved, but was only following a yo-yo pattern.

All the speculations over whether Brad Pitt would be able to visit his brood or not on the Big Day were finally answered.
