The Philadelphia 76ers continue to struggle as the NBA regular season past its second month. Some reports are saying that trading one of their asset could be the answer to their misery. And it seems that the Boston Celtics is interested in acquiring Jahlil Okafor before the trade deadline.

The Celtics is one of the busiest teams acquiring high-value players during the off-season. Although they got one of the big fishes in the trade market in Al Horford, it seems that the search for another high-caliber player is not yet done. And it appears that they are targeting Jahlil Okafor to add on their frontcourt which they badly needed.

As for the 76ers, they got off to an awful start and until this moment the misfortune continues. Many believed that the structure of their roster doesn't seem to be balanced and they really lack a true point guard that can stabilize their backcourt.

It was then suggested to unload some players on their overcrowded frontcourt which compose of Okafor, Joel Embiid, Nerlens Noel, Ersan Ilyasova and Dario Saric to make way for a playmaker but it seems that Okafor could be the odd man out. According to SB Nation, Embiid treats Noel as his best friend on the team and the Sixers looks to be cautious of breaking that bond.

Leaving Okafor as dispensable to the team and potential trade offer to other teams. Aside from that, the 76ers sees more value from Okafor than Noel, who is coming off a knee injury that sidelined him for almost two months. One report recommends that a trade deal with the Celtics might be plausible for the 76ers team.

According to Forbes, having many backcourt assets available to trade for a big man to improve their frontcourt defense makes sense for the Celtics. On the other hand, it is also smart for the Sixers to make a move and get the needed backcourt help. And it seems that viable trade is possible for both teams.

Trade scenario is saying that the Philadelphia 76ers will send Jahlil Okafor to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Avery Bradley. The Celtics will acquire the needed support to toughen their interior defense while the 76ers will benefit to have a solid playmaker on their backcourt.

Nevertheless, the rumored deal between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers have no confirmation yet but don't surprised if Jahlil Okafor name will always be mention in the rumor mills from now on.
