There is one raging singer who is furious that she has been "objectified" and that is Ariana Grande. The Into You singer became livid over a misogynist who "objectified" her, she says. The chart topper is now lashing out at critics of her objections too.

Ariadne is firm that a fan made a number of crude comments and "objectified her" in front of her own boyfriend, Mac Miller.

The 23-year-old explained what happened. One crazy fan tailed Mac right up to their car, when she was going to dinner with her boyfriend. The misogynist suggested that he could see Mac 'hitting that'. The humiliating remarks were dropped right in front of the young Ariadne, according to Celeb Dirty Laundry.

Ariana revealed that she was disgusted that the man was making her feel small in front of her boyfriend. She recalled: "He was loud and excited and by the time M was seated in the driver's seat, he was literally almost in the car with us. I thought all of this was cute and exciting until he said 'Ariana is sexy as hell man. I see you, I see you hitting that!!!'"

She added that she felt sick and objectified, mainly because she happened to be there on the spot when the man made the comments. She said she also felt "quiet and hurt". His degrading words "contribute to a woman's sense of fear and inadequacy," she said.

"This may not seem like a big deal to some of you, but I feel sick and objectified. I was also sitting right there when he said it," she tweeted.

"It hurts my heart that so many young people are so comfortable enough using these phrases and objectifying women with such ease."

The post was retweeted more than 106,000 times, and liked by twice as many. More than 43 million people follow her account, according to CBC.

A number of critics, though, have not spared her. In a backlash, many said that she is "supposedly using her sexuality to help sell her music. Many of her fans even say that it's part of her public image."

However, Ariana retorted that sexuality is an "art" not an "invitation for disrespect." She added that wearing skimpy clothes does not mean that she should be under "rude comments" by her fans.

At least Ariadne Grande made her point. But did she get it across? That is not clear.
