Drake and Jennifer Lopez have many fans abuzz about a possible romance, and now there's a new report on how it may have started.

There have been multiple reports and blog pieces over the past week speculating that Drake and JLo were in fact dating, or at least entertaining the possibility of love. The two entertainers have been hanging out a lot recently, and posted a cuddly photo on Instagram that made everyone freak out.

Now, an insider has revealed how their relationship blossomed, even though Lopez reportedly had no intentions of getting into a relationship.

"It just started with the two of them brainstorming on music and talking about their past relationships to come up with a song," an insider told HollywoodLife.com recently. "They spent hours and hours talking - talking about everything until the wee hours of the morning. That's when Jennifer started to look at Drake differently. She saw this vulnerable, tender side to him that made her heart melt."

Drake and Lopez were seen at Winter Wonderland Prom in Hollywood, Calif. this week, dancing and kissing on the dance floor. They have been rumored to be working on music together.

If Lopez is indeed dating Drake, it wouldn't be her first instance of being in a relationship with a younger man. She was 18 years older than Casper Smart, who she broke up with in August. Meanwhile, Drake is reportedly open to dating an older woman.

"He likes that she's older and more mature," the insider told HollywoodLife.com previously. "He thinks she's the sexiest woman he's ever been with and is completely infatuated with her."

Another source told People, "Drake is very charming. He treats Jen with lots of respect." The source added, "Jen is looking forward with excitement to the new year. She keeps hanging out with Drake, and he has visited her house. She has nothing but nice things to say about Drake."
