New Year's may be considered a federal holiday, but that doesn't mean all retailers are closed.  

Many stores will be keeping their doors open on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day for shoppers hoping to ring in the New Year by taking advantage of sales wherever they shop.

Aldi: All stores will be open until 7 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be closed on New Year's Day  

Apple Store: 10 a.m.-6 p.m. New Year's Eve; 11 a.m.-6 p.m. New Year's Day  

Barnes and Noble: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. New Year's Eve; 11 a.m.-9 p.m. New Year's Day  

Bed Bath and Beyond: 9 a.m.-6 p.m. New Year's Eve; 10 a.m.-6 p.m. New Year's Day  

Best Buy: Stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 

Costco: Locations will close at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be closed on New Year's Day  

CVS:24-hour locations will keep normal hours  and others are expected to be open until 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. All stores are expected to have normal hours on New Year's Day  

Dick's Sporting Goods: Stores will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day  

Food Lion: Stores will be open normal business hours on both New Year's Eve and New Year's Day 

Fresh Market: Stores will close at 8 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on New Year's Day  

Giant: All stores will be open until 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be open regular hours on New Year's Day n 

Harris Teeter: Most stores are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but check with individual stores to be sure  

Home Depot: Stores will be open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. on New Year's Day  

Kohls: Stores are open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day  

Kmart: Stores will close at 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on New Year's Day  

Lowe's: Stores will be open from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 9 a.m.- 6 p.m. on NEw Year's Day  

Macys: 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. New Year's Eve; 11 a.m.- 7 p.m. New Year's Day

Target: Stores are open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day  

Toys R Us: Stores are open 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will keep normal hours-10 a.m.-7 p.m.--on New Year's Day  

Trader Joe's: All stores will close at 6 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will be closed on New Year's Day 

Walgreen's: 24-hour locations will keep normal hours  and others are expected to be open until 10 p.m. on New Year's Eve. All stores are expected to have normal hours on New Year's Day  

Walmart: Super Centers and 24-hour locations will remain open throughout the holiday weekend, while most other locations are expected to be open between 8 a.m.-10 p.m. on New Year's Eve and to re-open at 6 a.m. on New Year's Day 

Wegman's: All stores will close by 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will reopen at 7 a.m. on New Year's Day   

Weis Markets: All stores will close by 9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and will observe regular hours on New Year's Day  

Whole Foods: Most stores should be open from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. on New Year's Eve and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on New Year's Day
