Has Brad Pitt enlisted David Spade to help him get sober?

Although an odd rumor started by the National Enquirer claims that Pitt has “turned to old pal David Spade for help adjusting to sobriety,” a second report has shot down the report as false.

“It’s the first time in 10 years that Brad has been truly sober,” the false outlet explained to readers earlier this week, claiming that Spade has supposedly a big part of Pitt's sobriety.

“David really had to ease up on his drinking after his daughter was born eight years ago, so he knows what Brad’s been going through, and he’s been a big help,” claimed the supposed source. “David’s hosted dinner parties for Brad and introduced him to women. He wants Brad to socialize again, but in a responsible way.”

Although Pitt does appear to be sober as he's required to submit random drug and alcohol tests as part of his temporary custody agreement with Jolie, a source told Gossip Cop on Friday that the report regarding the actor and Spade was “totally false.”

Pitt and his wife, Angelina Jolie, parted ways in September and in her divorce filing, Jolie requested she be given full physical custody of their six children, Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 8. Since then, Pitt has been restricted to minimal visits with his kids -- all of which are monitored.
