Nikki Reed has been already so desperate to get pregnant but Ian Somerhalder is not that ready yet. People are so quick to predict that this frustration might cause the couple's possible divorce.

Nikki and Ian have been married for 18 months already and the couple is still childless. Nikki is already eager to get pregnant but it seems like Ian doesn't buy this idea. As per Celeb Dirty Laundry, the "Vampire Diaries" actor wants to focus first on his career than starting a family.

Nikki Reed wants to have a baby in the year 2017 but Ian Somerhalder has other plan and that is to be given a movie project. His hit series will already reach its finale so the actor is hoping that his career won't stop there and that he doesn't want to become a forgotten TV series star.

The actor is also considering starting a family but he wants to also make sure that he still has projects after the said hit series. During an interview with the E! News, he shared his interest to build a family only that he can't do that now as he also wants to have security in terms of his job.

In fact, Ian Somerhalder wants to transition from small screen to the big screen that's why he is doing everything he can just to make this possible and happen even if his wife desire to get pregnant will be compromised.

Reports are even circulating that Ian shared to his close friends that he is still too young for this and that he feels that he still have several years ahead of him in terms of his work and career. Well, people are sure Nikki is not pleased about this. Some are even suggesting that this might lead to the couple's divorce.

If Nikki Reed is ready to get pregnant then Ian Somerhalder needs to think and consider that this can also strengthen their relationship.
