While interviewing a survivor of the tornado in Moore, Okla.on Tuesday, CNN correspondent Wolf Blitzer had an awkward moment with he asked the local atheist a question concerning G-d.

Wolf talked to Rebecca Vitsmun, who escaped from her house with her 19-month-old son right before the twister torn it apart. The mother and son were both on camera with Wolf, who began the interview by talking about Vitsmun's miraculous escape since her home is completely demolished now. Wolf played with the little boy for a while and even allowed him to hold his microphone, saying he was going to "train" the child on "how to be an anchorman."

Wolf then jumped into his concluding remarks for the interview.

"Alright, well, you've blessed. Brian, your husband, is blessed. Anders is blessed...We're happy you're here. You guys did a great job," he said. "You've gotta thank the Lord, right? Do you thank the Lord for that split-second decision?"

Vitsmun hesitated for a moment and smiled. She then replied, "I -- I'm actually an atheist," and afterwards, both she and Wolf began laughing off the moment.

"You are. All right. But you made the right call," Blitzer said.

"We are here, and I don't blame anyone for thanking the Lord," Vitsmun said.

Interestingly enough, America experienced a 13 percent drop in religiosity between 2005 and 2012, according to a WIN-Gallup poll published last year.
