The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) has long been a stage where tech companies showcase their sophisticated products. More than that, it has also been a ring where rivalry gets heated every year.

While the focal point of competition lately has been attributed to smartphones, laptops and gaming resources, TV specifications are gradually being squeezed in into the limelight. It is a fact that 4K resolution-capable televisions are the next big thing.

Although manufacturing giant Samsung has long dominated the picture tube field, LG is out to make a splash this year. With distinct features to boot, the Korean organization is serious in unfolding only the best merchandise.

LG is taking a different route in the industry. Its super UHD TV brands reveal a nano cell color system. Although the nano process is a variation of Samsung's Quantum Dot technology, the former Lucky-Goldstar team has introduced an upgrade that is probably better than the original model. LCD panels contain evenly-sized materials with a diameter of one nanometer.

The implication of this design is that there are no color modifications even at different viewing angles. Consistency is therefore maintained at contrasting distances.

In addition, nano cells are able maintain color precision by absorbing excess wavelengths of light. The process lessens figure alterations and shade deterioration.

In line with this, LG is set to offer a Technicolor Expert Mode in its future products. This is aligned with the organization's joint venture with Hollywood's color technology company.

It is being anticipated that the next batch of Super UHD televisions will assume an astonishingly lean frame. Apart from the SJ8500 and the SJ8000 brands, the SJ9500 model portrays a measurement of 6.9mm at its slimmest figure.

For 2017, nano cell technology will be present in nine LG's nine TV sets. All these will be equipped with webOS 3.5, Magic Zoom, Magic Link and active HDR.

There will be three formats under the high definition resolution. Aside from the Dolby Vision, the HDR 10 and the latest broadcast-supportive Hybrid Log Gamma will also become available from LG.
