His condition has been worrisome and left all of his loved ones worried, but Devon (Bryton James) will finally find his way back and wake up from the coma he's been in since his car accident on The Young and the Restless.

After convincing Hillary (Mishael Morgan) to leave the hospital, Stitch (Sean Carrigan) will continue looking after Devon to make sure he is recovering, and when he finally begins to stir, he will work to coax him back into consciousness.

"Can you hear me? Devon? Come on pal, you can do this," Stitch says in a preview clip for the Thursday, Jan. 5 episode.

The gentle encouragement will work and Devon will wake up-but there will be something unexpected and shocking that comes with his being back. Hillary will be the first to see him, and she will be grateful he's awake, but nervous he will remember the gala, and why he left in an angry state-which led to the accident. However, she will be able to breathe a sigh of relief when he doesn't remember anything about what happened on New Year's and is only thankful she wasn't in the car with him.

Hillary won't tell him the truth, and when Lily (Christel Khalil) finds out, she will explode at Hillary and claim she is once again trying to manipulate Devon and trying to make things work in her favor. However, Stitch will interrupt the fight between the women and warn them that their arguments, as well as telling Devon the truth right now, will only impede his recovery. He will maintain Devon may eventually remember the truth on his own, but they need to let him get there for himself, and if he doesn't, then they need to wait until he genuinely has recovered completely before they share the truth.

The Young and the Restless airs Monday-Friday at 12:30 p.m. on CBS.
