Fans have been sorely missing the character of Nikolas Cassadine on General Hospital, and especially Tyler Christopher, who portrayed him for 20 years before parting ways with the soap in 2016, but there is some potential new hope the actor may return to the show again in the future.

Christopher exited the soap over the summer due to contract negotiations with ABC falling through, and was temporarily replaced by Nicholas Stabile, before Nikolas appeared to die by falling out of a window in Greece. Now, Christopher has potentially hinted on social media that he may be open to discussing things with the powers that be once again.

Without actually saying if he would resume talks again, Christopher took to Twitter to assure fans that he would never say no to possibly returning to the soap.

"Thanks for the continued #GH love after all these months away," he wrote. "Wish I could respond to everyone. Very much appreciated. Never say never."

With Nikolas' departure from the show, the Cassadine representation has come solely with the emergence of Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), who has stirred up some major drama in Port Charles, specifically concerning Anna (Finola Hughes), Lulu (Emme Rylan), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Nina (Michelle Stafford). His appearance was marked by his shooting Nikolas, causing the deadly fall.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
