Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were spotted kissing in her Los Angeles home earlier in the month, dispelling rumors that they are on the verge of a breakup with no hopes of walking down the aisle.

Cyrus, 20, and Hemsworth, 23, "are definitely back on," according to a guest at the singer's home on May 10, who also said "she was kissing him." Cyrus has also been wearing her engagement ring as of late, after instances of her taking off the band and posting photos without the Neil Lane diamond on her Twitter page.

Cyrus attended the 2013 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday in a white Balmain jumpsuit and photographs from the event show her wearing her engagement ring. She attended the event alone, however, as Hemsworth was at the Cannes Film Festival promoting his film, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The film comes out in theaters on Nov. 22, 2013.

The same source who saw the couple kissing earlier in May does not believe that they with have a smooth road ahead of them as they continue their engagement and plan a wedding.

"They break up, get back together, repeat," the insider said. "They will eventually burn out."

Hollywood Life cited a source on May 8 that said they couple "have a very passionate relationship," and that they "are both still trying to make it work." Despite rumors that his family does not support the engagement, the insider added that Hemsworth's brothers Chris and Luke, as well as his entire family, "really like Miley."

Both stars are also taking time to focus on their careers, as Hemsworth continues to promote Catching Fire at Cannes and Cyrus is often inside a recording studio working on her upcoming album.

Cyrus vowed earlier in the year to not talk directly about her relationship with Hemsworth on Twitter. On Wednesday she retweeted the following message by Frank Ocean, perhaps hinting at her true feelings toward her fiance.
