His speech where he thanked her for taking on roles like raising their children so he could take on his now Golden Globe-winning role in La La Land has ranked as one of the best moments of the night at the Golden Globes, and now Ryan Gosling's partner Eva Mendes has subtly addressed the moment on social media.

After he won Best Actor in a Motion Picture-Comedy or Musical for La La Land, Gosling thanked his partner of nearly six years, not mentioning her name, but thanking her for dealing with the things she did as he worked on the movie.

"You don't get to be up here without standing on the shoulders of a mountain of people, and there's just no time to thank everyone," he said. "I just would like to try and thank one person properly and say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano and having one of the best experiences I've ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with out second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer. If she hadn't have taken all that on so that I could have this experience, it would surely be someone else up here other than me today. So, sweetheart, thank you. To my daughters, Amada and Esmeralda, I love you and if I may, I'd like to dedicate this to the memory of her brother, Juan Carlos Mendez."

In an Instagram post on Monday, the day after the show, Mendes seemed to address the moment in a similarly subtle fashion, not addressing Gosling or even the speech itself in an explicit way, but simply mentioning she had a favorite moment of the night, as she admired Janelle Monae's dress at the show.

"Obviously this wasn't my favorite moment of the night... But it was definitely my favorite style moment of the night. The stunning and talented @janellemonae is killing me with this look. So so so beautiful. #goldenglobes.," she captioned a photo of Monae.

Gosling and Mendes have been notoriously private throughout their romance, often shying away from press and media scrutiny of their relationship, very rarely posting to social media, and even keeping the news of both their pregnancies quiet for much of the time they were expecting.
