PlayStation VR released back in October following up on the release of the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive earlier in the year. Previous to the launch of the system, most retailers have sold out of pre-orders in no time, with PSVR being near impossible to get since its release. However fresh news says that there may be some restocks in sight, at least in the UK.

Many experts have dubbed 2017 as the year of Virtual Reality and it will definitely be off to a rocking start with the popular Sony's PlayStation VR. Sony couldn't keep enough in stock to meet the demand for Christmas but restocking should get them off in a grand manner for the year 2017.

According to a poster on the PSVR subreddit, they spoke with a customer service representative at Amazon UK on their existing PSVR order they had placed. When inquiring, they have stated that the estimated shipping date for them would be somewhere between February 4 and February 18.

There were also some previous reports of potential PSVR restocks in Europe via regional retailer Tesco, as well as Amazon UK soon, so Amazon UK getting restocks in February would fit.

These reports of restocks so far have been specific to Europe. Units have been popping up in stores like Target and Walmart over the last few months very infrequently, but it seems that Sony has basically been selling every unit they manufacture and send to retailers in almost no time.

Meanwhile, Amazon's Spanish arm is currently conducting a 'pre-sale' on PSVR that is available exclusively to Prime subscribers. According to the company's listing for the headset, it will receive a limited amount of stock from January 6.

The PlayStation VR is composed of the control box, a shiny white goggle headset and a set of black earphones. Everything that touches your face and ears is nicely padded. The glossy white headset has a cut-out design that gives it a nice updated appearance.

It is quite good-looking in comparison to other virtual reality headsets. Tech savvies can view the full specifications at the PlayStation VR website.
