President Barack Obama sits down with Lester Holt for one final interview in Friday night's Dateline NBC special.

President Obama is interviewed in the new Dateline NBC special Barack Obama: The Reality of Hope. The special features Holt interviewing the outgoing president before his farewell speech that took place on Tuesday.

"Holt will have rare access, traveling on Air Force One with President Obama on his final trip to Chicago -- the birthplace of his campaign -- as Commander in Chief," says NBC. "The two will also visit a restaurant in Hyde Park to discuss how the president believes he delivered on the promises made eight years ago and his hope for the nation moving forward."

This is Holt's second interview with President Obama, following an interview conducted in fall 2015 about the criminal justice system in America.

Barack Obama: The Reality of Hope airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, and lasts for one hour. You can also live stream the interview on NBC's live streaming site in the follow select markets New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose, Dallas/Fort Worth, Washington, D.C., Miami/Fort Lauderdale, San Diego and Hartford/New Haven.
