After Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston, the name of Tom Hardy now emerges to replace Daniel Craig to do the next James Bond film. As Christopher Nolan already revealed his interest to direct the 007 film, anchoring the two in the movie might be the best team up.

In an interview with The Daily Beast, the 39-year-old star of the new television series Taboo was amazed and found it cool if the Interstellar director would direct the British Secret Service agent film. He now wonders what would be the 46-year-old producer's take on the movie franchise and what would be the outcome.

"I think when you mention someone like Christopher Nolan, that's a very powerful figure to bring into that world who could bring something new and create something profound - again," Tom Hardy added. This, too, is the perfect time for Christopher Nolan to direct the next James Bond film as the production of his war movie with Harry Styles, Dunkirk, is now done.

Tom Hardy, on the other hand, was also asked if he wants to reprise Daniel Craig's role as James Bond, Slash Film reported. "You know, there's a saying amongst us in the fraternity of acting, and in the fellowship of my peer group, that if you talk about it you're automatically out of the race," The Revenant actor explained.

Hence, he doesn't want to talk about it to secure the role when the right time comes. Tom Hardy even commended Sam Mendes and Barbara Broccoli for their take on the James Bond franchise.

The Mad Max: Fury Road star described that what they have done is impressive and might be very hard to follow. But, knowing how fantastic a director Christopher Nolan is, it will be no sweat for him to direct the next James Bond film. To recall, it was in 2013 when the latter first talked about his interest in the Ian Fleming-based movie.
