There have been rumors which have circulated on and off for a while now which claim that Brad Pitt and Kate Hudson are secretly seeing one another, and now, the actress' mother, Goldie Hawn has reacted to the reports.

Hawn was stopped by reporters while on a lunch date with long-time partner Kurt Russell, and when asked about rumors that her daughter was dating Pitt, who is currently embroiled in a messy divorce from Angelina Jolie, she didn't explicitly answer, but did seem to laugh off the reports.

After being asked if she was "thrilled Kate was dating Brad," and if she was "ready to have him as a son-in-law," Hawn burst into laughter and clapped her hands as she walked towards her car, but didn't explicitly answer the question, which has led to some speculation that she wasn't confirming or denying the rumor-even though the report was denied not long after it first came out.

The report was circulated initially back in November, claiming the two were secretly hooking up and having fun together.

"Kate is Brad's mystery woman. They've been extremely close over the last few weeks, following several secret meet-ups," sources claimed at the time. "The rumor in Hollywood is that Kate's a firecracker in the sack, as is Brad. So they're two big stars who were very attracted to each other and drawn to one another, and they are certainly enjoying one another's company."

The report was quickly slammed as being inaccurate and false, with Pitt having since been referred to as "not ready" to date yet in other stories about the divorce battle he faces with Jolie, specifically over the custody of their six children-Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne.

Hudson has had her own previous battles with exes as well, though they were far less public or nasty. She seemed to peacefully work out a custody arrangement for her son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, and also managed to work out an agreement with ex-fiance Matthew Bellamy as well over their son together, Bingham.
