It appears that both their exes think that the new relationship which has blossomed between Selena Gomez and The Weeknd is some sort of publicity stunt that will end up helping Gomez's career and leave The Weeknd with a broken heart.

Fresh off reports that Justin Bieber, who famously dated Gomez on and off for five years, believed that she was using The Weekend (real name Abel Tesfaye) to promote music they are working on together, and will quickly move on from him when he is of no use to her any longer-Tesfaye's famous ex Bella Hadid is also reportedly warning him that he's being set up.

According to Us Weekly, Hadid is also convinced that the relationship is one which follows a pattern Gomez has engaged in before, and she's trying to warn her ex, but hasn't had success thus far.

Noting that Gomez's previous relationship with Zedd ended after they finished recording "I Want You To Know," and also her collab and hook-up with Charlie Puth, Hadid has allegedly reached out to The Weeknd, but he's written her off as just being jealous.

"Bella has reached out to Abel a few times and told him Selena is using him," a source told the magazine. "He thinks she's just jealous and isn't listening to her."

In addition, sources told People that Hadid, who was the one to end her romance with The Weeknd, is also feeling hurt that he was able to move on so quickly after they broke up.

"Bella and Abel's split wasn't dramatic, but of course she's hurt and pissed that he's moved on so quickly with Selena," a source said.

As for Gomez and her new fling, they didn't intend to become romantically involved, but it just happened as they began working together.

"They started hanging as friends and it became romantic," a source said. "They're working on very sexy music, so it spilled over."

Gomez's biggest relationship to date was with Bieber for five years, and was characterized by several ups and downs, finally coming to an end last year. The Weeknd dated Hadid for a year and a half before the pair split in November of last year.
