Alice Eve just trekked into darkness, but the actress wonders if space may not be the final frontier for life.

On an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! from May 17, the actress talked about a Skype chat with the International Space Station she participated in with Star Trek Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams and co-stars Chris Pine and John Cho.

"That was definitely the coolest thing we've done," Eve said, suggesting it may even trump some of her worldwide press tour adventures. "[The astronaut] was turning around in the air when we were talking to him and when he would talk, he would suddenly let go of his mic and it would just stay there. It was a very weird experience."

But that "weird experience" left Eve with more questions than answers. Eve said she she felt a bit let down by some of the equivocal answers given by the NASA officials about whether aliens existed and if they had encountered any extraterrestrial life.

"J.J. asked this question, 'So have you seen alien life?'" the actress said, "and the response that the guys at the NASA base gave us... was so rehearsed and so clear that they had seen [aliens]."

When asked by Kimmel if she believes in aliens, the actress answered more matter-of-factly: "Yeah, you know, I do."

Eve has seen her fair share of aliens, albeit just in her films. Aside from the new edition of the Star Trek franchise, she also appeared in last summer's Men In Black 3.

But Eve isn't the only actor who's recently discussed the possibility of alien life. While promoting Oblivion in Moscow earlier this year, Tom Cruise broached the subject at a panel discussion.

"I don't think you can actually count it out," Cruise told attendees of the panel. "It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe -- but I've never met one!"
