They say March comes in a like a lion, but based on this weekend's short list of two new movies opening in wide-release, the box office is off to more of a mouse-like start.

Another Dr. Seuss classic gets the CGI treatment when Zac Efron and Taylor Swift team up in the family-friendly The Lorax. Box Office Mojo predicts strong opening weekend gross revenues of $53.4 million.

Also in wide release there's wild house party film Project X. The movie follows three teenage boys who hope to become popular by throwing the mother of all "ragers."

This "found-footage film" may be the weekend's sleeper hit with Thursday's midnight showings bringing in $1.2 million. Nevertheless, Box Office Mojo predicts a second place showing for the movie of $21.5 million.

Among several limited release films this weekend is one for the Adult Swim crowd. Comedy sketch duo Tim and Eric hit the big screen in Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie. The movie, which includes Zach Galifianakis, Will Ferrell and Will Forte, focuses on what happens after the duo squanders one billion dollars they were given to make a film.
