Fans of role-playing video game Dark Souls are in for a treat as the second DLC expansion is set to become available from March. From Software will be releasing the second and final DLC of the series in two months and the trailer has already been released.

Titled The Ringed City, the second DLC of Dark Souls III is coming in March and this week also saw the unveiling of the trailer by Bandai Namco. The official synopsis indicates that it is a journey to the end of the world to search for the Ringed City, reports Geek Exchange.

It promises new lands, new bosses, new enemies with new armour, magic and items. Praising creator Hidetaka, it says players are all set to experience the epic final chapter of a dark world that could only be created by him.

This is why it is said to be one of the top video games of 2017 and is giving chills with its trailer, reports Forbes. The trailer shows twisted creatures, queer environments and a soundtrack that is haunting to the core.

Going by the looks, it is very intriguing and the imagery calls one out to unravel the clues. It would be interesting to see if The Ringed City is related to anything that is already part of the series or it is a completely new addition.

Notably, the previous DLC titled Ashes of Ariandel had a completely new location but it took players back to The Painted World from the first Dark Souls. It is expected that Ringed City will be similar to the previous edition and have an environment that is a mix of old and new. Though it bears the burden of expectations as it is the final installment of Dark Souls III as latest entry to one of the most popular game franchises, one trusts Miyazaki and his creative skills.

It is worth mentioning here that Dark Souls III is an action role-playing video game that was developed by From Software and published by Bandai Namco in March 2016. It became an instant hit and sold a total of 3 million copies after two months of its release.

Dark Souls III is scheduled to be launched on 28 March on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
