Sony is expected to disclose new Xperia smartphones apparently at the Mobile World Congress 2017 to be successors of the Sony Xperia XA 2016 model. Rumors thrive previously regarding the upcoming smartphones, but seemingly a new video surfaced online showing leaked images of a prototype model of the apparent Sony Xperia XA (2017).

Tech Times reported the new smartphone is rumored to come with a 5-inch screen with minimum bezels, as leaked in the latest video. The video also show the device bearing the model number G3121 and some of the specs, including a 23-megapixel camera. The video confirms previous rumors that apparently, Sony phone will not feature a fingerprint sensor but will come with a USB Type-C port.

It is further described that Sony Xperia XA sports a 5-inch HD 720p touchscreen with a super intense display mode. The 13MP primary camera apparently comes with hybrid autofocus, HDR photo, auto scene recognition and Exmor RS mobile sensor. The 8MP front camera has a wide-angle lens that deliver autofocus and low light photography.

The video further reveals, as reported by BGR, that the device is shown running Android 7.0 Nougat with a security patch level that suggests the software update is equally recent. The smartphone carries a Manual, Auto and Video mode. The capability of video recording in full HD @30fps is likewise shown. Other options accordingly include HDR video, auto-capturing (video) and object tracking.

The black color has become the new favorite in smartphones. The speculated Sony Xperia XA (2017) smartphone as shown in the video apparently appears also to be using a matte black finish giving it a very smooth appearance. Sony has previously used the color for its Xperia XZ and other Xperia X series devices that were launched last year. Considering a video leak like this, it is only a matter of time before Sony will officially announce more information about the Xperia XA successor.
