They went through a tumultuous few months at the end of last year following her traumatic robbery in Paris and his hospitalization after an apparent breakdown, but it appears those experiences may have genuinely changed Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the superstar couple, who have also battled divorce rumors as well, have genuinely changed their outlooks on some of the ways they've previously embraced life as a result of the things they went through.

Sources said that Kardashian has changed things like her style immeasurably since being held at gunpoint and robbed over millions in jewelry, no longer favoring things which flaunted her wealth and body, both things she had used in the past to continue adding to her fame.

"Kim's style has definitely turned more low-key," the source said. "During her time off, she wore less makeup, more comfortable clothing and spent less time on her hair, and that worked for her. This is overall how she feels. She's not feeling like she wants to be as made up as she used to be. She's re-prioritized everything."

"I know it's shocking to say Kim Kardashian is dressing for comfort," the source added. "But when a life-or-death moment happens to you, followed by your husband going through something similar, you're not really that interested in anything else. She doesn't care about the smaller things in life."

However, while the robbery may have shaped a change in her, the source cautions that except for when she addresses it on the upcoming season of her reality show, she won't discuss it in public because it is still painful for her to think and talk about.

"Kim will talk about the robbery on the show, as you have already seen, because she knows she has to for her fans," the source said. "She feels she has a duty to give them an update. But she will not be doing a longform interview about it. It's too painful for her to keep talking about."

As for West, he has also been changing his outlook and is focusing on his music and his health, but he's staying away from the things he had done in the past that were deemed more controversial.

"Kanye is doing a lot better. He stays to his schedule. He's staying busy but not taking on new projects just yet," the source said. "He has regular checkups still with his doctors. The family and Kim are trying to do everything they can to assure he doesn't have another episode."

"He's been great. He's been very quiet-no Twitter rants or crazy Trump talk," the source added. "He's aware that breaking this good streak is something he could be susceptible too, so he is staying away from the biggest triggers, like no sleep and stress. That's what brought him to that dark place at first. Eating right, sleep and exercise are his biggest priorities right now."
