Last week, ABC's political drama, "Scandal", came back on televisions strongly with the viewers and fans taking every minute of the episode deeply as they have waited for its comeback for almost a year now. This time, the series is once again airing its second episode for season 6 in less than two days.

The previous season premiere of "Scandal" season 6, titled "Survival of the Fittest", featured the announcement of Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) and Francisco Vargas' (Ricardo Chavira) election results and declared Vargas as the winner. However, it came as a shock to the viewers and the characters of the series to find the newly-declared President-elect getting shot with a huge crowd witnessing the terrible event.

On "Scandal" season 6 episode 2, the supposed President-elect's assassin will throroughly be investigated. According to a report from Yahoo News, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) is convinced that Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) is involved in the assassination that just happened. Senator Mellie Grant and investigator Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) also believed in Olivia's conviction.

Moreover, Olivia will reportedly do her best to send Cyrus to prison and get all the evidences she can find to make sure that Cyrus stays in prison on "Scandal" season 6. It can be recalled that Olivia wanted Mellie Grant to win as president and take over the White House. In the official synopsis released for the episode, Olivia can be seen still wanting Mellie to take over the palace and sets anger for Cyrus on a higher level.

Meanwhile, on a report from Yahoo TV, the premiere of "Scandal" season 6 reportedly improved in ratings. As per the source, compared to the previous season's finale episode, the series had significantly raised its ratings. Although season 5's premiere episode was still higher, the initial performance of the series this year has been speculated to close out rumors about its cancellation.
