The Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the only handsets that are equipped with Google Assistant. Now, reports suggest that the Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P will also obtain the intelligent personal aide.

According to Android Headlines, it seems that the biggest search engine company will be bringing its much-owned Google Assistant to last year's Nexus devices. It is also worth mentioning that the A.I. software has been speculated to arrive to these devices through a "major update" and not just a small gradual firmware upgrade. This may also indicate that other features are just around the corner as well as major software update which commonly have more than one new feature and a few of bug fixes and developments.

Additionally, there are speculations that it will be the next major operating system update, and that it will be incorporated soon. This might basically mean that major updates for the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are just around the corner. With that, it really seems the update that is really just around the corner for any of the supported Nexus and Pixel handsets is the Android 7.1.2 and this is just a small update that emphases on a bug fix.

Furthermore, Tech Times reported that way back in January when the beta version of the Google App was released. This was reportedly containing clues that indicated some of the notable features that Assistant could offer. One of the discovered features that Google Assistant might bring to Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P handsets is that it has been reported to have keyboard input and gesture support. Aside from that, it could also become capable of allowing the users to make payments with just voice commands.

Moreover, it is not yet confirmed if the Google Assistant will really be rolled out to Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Also, it is not yet certain whether the above-mentioned features will be offered by the update, so for now, it is recommended for the device owners to treat this information with uncertainty.
