His character has so far managed to make fans swoon and feel anger because they know he will die at some point in the show's story, but Milo Ventimiglia doesn't think his This is Us alter ego Jack Pearson is as perfect as everyone thinks he is.

In an interview with Variety, Ventimiglia opened up about the incredibly popular show and his character, revealing that while he can relate to Jack, he doesn't think he is as good of a man all the time as fans have deemed him to be so far on the show.

"I don't think he's perfect at all. I think he's flawed, and we'll see those flaws," Ventimiglia said. "Those flaws and those cracks and those imperfections are what make us human. A lot of people, especially on social media, are saying, 'Jack is perfect. Where can I find a Jack?' And kind of transfer all that love onto me. That's a nice feeling."

Ventimiglia also revealed that he was never taken by surprise by the news that Jack wouldn't be there for the entire story and wasn't alive in the present day, but he does warn that when the how of Jack's death is revealed, it will be something that will truly y=upset fans in an unexpected way.

"When I signed on for the pilot, I knew that Jack was deceased in the present day," he said. "So it wasn't a surprise when [creator] Dan Fogelman finally told me how it all happened. It's going to break some hearts wide open when it happens, but it's a pretty amazing, magical moment to see what Dan has planned."

This Is Us airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on NBC.
