Season 10 of Grey's Anatomy is expected to answer unresolved issues between Callie Torres and Arizona Robbins, stemming from the affair the latter had with new doctor Lauren.

Arizona cannot forgive her wife for making the call on amputating her leg following a plane crash some of the doctors were in and after she found out about the cheating, Callie realized she has lost Arizona forever. She figured out that Arizona cheated on her with a new doctor visiting the hospital named Lauren, played by former One Tree Hill star Hilarie Burton.

The show's executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, spoke in a recent interview about the couple's impending future, and if Calzona will survive long into season 10.

"I've done lot of reading on PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) and grief and these people have been through a hell of a lot this season and we've watched them struggle to right themselves fairly quickly -- perhaps too quickly. There's stuff there that has not been dealt with. We're taking them through it, which I think is great, and Lauren is definitely possibly a part of that," Rhimes told The Hollywood Reporter.

In another interview, Rhimes said that among Arizona's infidelity, Callie is far from being "a victim." The plot in season 10 with regards to their relationship will largely focus on "how she's going to take this and what she's going to do next." Rhimes added, "How Arizona is going to figure out what [her infidelity] means is going to be interesting."

Additional spoilers for season 10 include details about the Jackson Avery/April Kepner/paramedic Matthew love triangle. Sarah Drew said about her character, "In a lot of ways, [April's] not really completely aware of how she feels about Jackson."
