The contentious Betsy DeVos confirmation comes to a head today into the night, and here's how you can watch it right now.

Prominent Democrats are currently holding court on the floor of the Senate, hoping DeVos won't be confirmed as the Secretary of Education. The DeVos confirmation has been the closest Democrats have come to denying one of President Donald Trump's cabinet appointments and they intend to work their hardest to make it happen all day.

Every Democrat in the Senate opposes DeVos and will vote as such during Tuesday's confirmation. Two Republican Senators have come out in opposition to DeVos, Susan Collins of Maine and Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, and only one more is needed to flip the vote in favor of the Democrats.

Since the vote is currently 50-50, if no other Republicans flip their votes on Tuesday, Vice President Mike Pence will break the tie in favor of DeVos' confirmation.

"We're very confident that Betsy DeVos is going to be the next secretary of education, and it'll be my high honor to cast the deciding vote on the floor of the Senate next week," Vice President Pence told Fox News Sunday.

Despite Vice President Pence's confidence, Democrats are still hopeful that they can flip things around. Washington Sen. Patty Murray, said Monday on the Senate floor that, "I know for a fact there are other Republicans who are feeling the heat and could come around."
