The way "Girl Meets World" came to an abrupt end after Season 3 was really upsetting for fans. No one had expected it and the outrage came out in the form of campaigns to renew it for the fourth season on some other channel. Thankfully, showrunner Michael Jacobs has spoken about "Girl Meets World" Season 4.

Jacobs said in an interview that he does not agree with "Girl Meets World" Season 4 cancellation decision as there was more story to tell, reports The Wrap. He also revealed that they are having discussions about continuation of the show and there are some interested platforms.

Talking about the cast and if they would continue if "Girl Meets World" Season 4 gets picked up, he said that he believes everyone would be on board. However, he added that when something is cancelled, it releases everyone to make their own decision and therefore, he cannot speak for everyone but he thinks the inclination would be to stay together. As for the support that "Girl Meets World" received from fans and the campaigns to air it on Netflix and Hulu, he said that the places the fans have picked out are incredibly astute.

Jacobs also said that he would be re-calibrating "Girl Meets World" Season 4 if they go to another venue but he did not rule out the possibility of Disney channel realizing their mistake and if that happens, they would continue on the channel. Well, the "Girl Meets World" Season 4 is something fans earnestly want but for the time being, they will have to make do with the uncertainty and the farewell video that features Rowan Blanchard, Sabrina Carpenter, Ben Savage and Michael Jacobs, claims Variety.

In the video, the team shares their experience of "Girl Meets World" and Savage says that they made a fun show about real issues and they did it in a fun, relatable way and he thinks people appreciate it. Carpenter says that the cast has become a real family over the years and the bonds will last beyond the finale. It is worth mentioning here that "Girl Meets World" premiered on Disney in 2014 and ended in 2017 when the Season 3 finale aired on 20 January.
