Samsung electronics is bound to launch another flagship handsets from its Galaxy S line-up. Dubbed as Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, leaked case image of these handsets has confirmed the positioning of its fingerprint scanner.

According to Tech Times, the leaked images of protective case for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus had surfaced on Weibo. The leaked image suggests that the fingerprint sensor for the Galaxy S8 will be positioned beside the rear camera. This is not somewhat strange since quite a few handsets have the fingerprint scanner located on the rear portion of the device.

The photo from Weibo showed a cut out on the left-hand side of the protective case, which is large enough to contain both the camera along with the flash of the 5.7-inch Galaxy S8 and 6.2-inch Galaxy S8 Plus. Meanwhile, the fingerprint scanner will be situated to the right of the camera.

When it comes with the specs and features, Phone Arena noted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will feature a Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. These two flagship smartphones will be engineered by either the Snapdragon 835 chipset or the Exynos 8895 SoC depending on the country.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus will be equipped with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM inside. As for the camera department, a 12MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing selfie shooter are expected to be on board. Also, a Type-C USB port is included, and the Galaxy S8 is expected to be powered by a 3250mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus will not be debut during the MWC 2017. But then, Samsung may show off other devices slated for release. For the price details, the Samsung Galaxy S8 may arrive with a heavy price tag when compared to its forerunners Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge as it may cost around $ 900.
