"Gears Of War 4" celebrates the love month with an update that consists of Guardian improvements and two new maps to explore. The first map is called "Impact Dark" while the other one is coined as "War Machine."

According to IGN, the first "Gears Of War 4" map for the Feb. update relives the combat dynamics of the original. "Impact Dark" players will find themselves playing in a nighttime setting with scarce visibility due to smoke. To alter the flow of the map and give the players a new experience and challenge, the Snipers will be swapped with Boltoks, Overkill will be replaced by Incendiaries and Dropshot will be replaced by Torque or EMBAR.

As for the "War Machine" map, the core map will reportedly be unchanged. However, the setting has been changed to a new COG settlement. This means that players who choose to play this "Gears Of War 4" new map will be navigating the game with pristine appearance and gleaming grandiose features.

Aside from the two new maps to conquer and explore, the "Gears Of War" Feb. update will also bring changes to spawns applicable to the Guardian game mode. Instead of going through the original spawn swap, players can now spawn on their leaders.

In celebration of love month, The Coalition has also revealed a Valentine's day event featuring new Gear Packs, Craftable Character to collect, Valentine-themed bounties and the return of the Torque Bow Tag with a Cupid-style twist. Engadget reports that the "Gears Of War 4" Valentines event will begin on Feb. 10 and will last for a week.

The "Gears Of War 4" Feb. update maps will be available in the Developer Playlist for Season Pass Holders. Check out the video below to catch a glimpse of the new maps and other "Gears Of War 4" Feb. Updates.
