MasterChef Junior returns for another season of bite-sized excellence tonight on Fox, and here's how you can watch the premiere live.

Gordon Ramsay may be the host of MasterChef Junior, but his approach is much more loving than fans may be used to. That's part of what makes the show unique, providing a genuine, positive experience for the viewing audience as they want young chefs achieve their dreams for leading food experts.

MasterChef Junior begins with 40 junior home cooks competing to see who is the best young chef in America. In tonight's season 5 premiere, chefs face off in groups of four, cooking a unique meal and hoping to advance further in the competition. Only two chefs from each group get to advance beyond this round, with the other two eliminated from the competition.

This round of competition continues into next week's episode, at which point 40 young chefs will become 20. At the end of the season, one chef will emerge victorious and win the MasterChef Junior trophy and a $100,000 grand prize.

There will be many special guests on this season of MasterChef Junior, including former First Lady Michelle Obama, The Big Bang Theory star Mayim Bialik, Modern Family star Julie Bowen and Muppets Swedish Chef and Miss Piggy!

The premiere of MasterChef Junior airs tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox. If you cannot watch the premiere on television, you can also live stream it through the Fox website. You will need to enter your cable subscription information to access the full episode, though.
