George Clooney’s Gradual Transition To Fatherhood: Actor Expecting Twins With Wife Amal Clooney

The 50-year-old actor is expecting twins with wife Amal. And it has been a really fascinating journey for him as it never seemed like George Clooney would marry and have kids.

George Clooney was not always thinking about parenthood, reports People. According to the magazine, he once said that having kids is the most responsible thing one can do and it is not something to be taken lightly. The Oscar winner also said that he does not have that gene that people have to replicate. However, this was in 2006.

In 2012, George Clooney had a somewhat different take on fatherhood and he said that all his friends have kids and he is around kids most of the time. So, he has an understanding of what it is. What is more, he played father to two daughters in "The Descendants" and did a great job on screen.

However, parenthood became more of a topic when George Clooney got married in 2014 to Amal Clooney. The marriage was also a shocker for no one in Hollywood ever thought that he would tie the knot someday. But, he did and now kids-related-queries were something that was bound to come his way.

In 2015, it happened and he told CBS This Morning that he has not really thought about children and they have not been high on his list, claims Bustle. So, George Clooney was still reluctant but some weeks later when German newspaper Blind asked him if he was planning kids with Amal Clooney, the actor replied saying yes and added that they are taking their time. Well, the time has finally arrived.

Even though George Clooney and Amal Clooney have not made any official announcement about parenthood, it is there for everyone to see. Amal's bulging belly has been making headlines for a while and sources close to the couple say that they are expecting twins.

So, fans should get ready to see George Clooney donning the father's hat that he avoided for such a long time.
