The upcoming new downloadable content (DLC) expansion for the highly popular vehicular soccer video game, "Rocket League," will surely be bringing some childhood nostalgia to fans when it arrives. The game's developer, Psynoix, recently announced that they will be combining the popular Hot Wheels die-cast toy car brand with their hit game via the new DLC coming out in a few weeks.

The new "Rocket League" Hot Wheels DLC will contain two brand new vehicles taken directly from the brand's classic miniature line-up. Aside from the new vehicles, which will each cost $2 to unlock, the DLC will also have a number of new content that is based on the Hot Wheels brand, as per a report from Gamespot.

The brand new vehicles that will be added with the new "Rock League" DLC includes the Twin Mill III, which debuted back in 2008 and the Bone Shaker, which is one of the most popular Hot Wheels casting released back in 2006. The Twin Mill III, designed by Josh Henson, features an extremely radical design that exposes twin engines visible on each side of the car. The Bone Shaker on the other hand is set to also appear on the next DLC for the popular racing simulation game, "Forza Motorsport 6," as announced on the game's official website.

The new content that will be added to the "Rock League" game will include some new Post-game loot drops. After the DLC is released, players will get the chance to win a Shark Bite Topper, a Treasure Hunt flag, and a Hot Wheels Antenna.

"Rocket League" was original launched back in 2015 and has since been a huge success with more than 26 million players. There have also been more than 1 billion matches that have been recorded since the game was launched. Last year, the game even became the top-grossing title on Steam for 2016.

The "Rocket League" Hot Wheels DLC is scheduled to be launch on Feb. 21 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
