Another Double XP weekend has been announced by Activision for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered". The event is going to begin on Friday January 10 and continue through Sunday January 12. After giving us update 1.08, Raven Software has released update 1.09 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC today. As per Charlie Intel, it's 330MB of size on PS4 and 400MB on Xbox One.

In a blog post Activision, who is the publisher, expresses its enjoyment in updating the game with content and customization. Post reads, "Today, we're excited to support " Warfare Remastered" with more content, and introduce even more customization items into the Modern Warfare Remastered."

The latest update of the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" includes new weapons, melee weapon kits, and more customization items. With double XP this weekend, you should open up your "Modern Warfare Remastered" and level up fast while you try out the new content.

According to a Redditor u/NetriX88, he has played five matches since the latest 1.09 patch and said that "the game is still pretty broken." He claims that there are still bugs in spawning, saying, "enemies are spawning directly behind me." He also said that killstreaks randomly disappear that caused him to lose airstrikes many times.

The patch notes for update 1.09 "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered"  are same as the update 1.08, except they now include this additional note: "increased the server send rate." This feature was by now added with 1.08, it was just missing from the patch notes, as the Lead Designer Amos Hodge says.

New weapon kit collection bounties added that include Huntsman, Lawman, Battle-Scarred, and Czar. In the meantime, there are new melee weapon sets, which are Gladiator and Hatchetman. There are also some new ranged weapons, namely Kamchatka-12, XM-LAR, and .44 Magnums. Finally, new customization features are available which include weapon camo sets, calling card sets, emblem sets, and reticle sets.

For "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" player, Activision has added a special Bloody Valentine weapon camo to the Black Market until February 16. ""Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered" has an animated camo that oozes blood over any weapon that you choose, and looks pleasantly deadly... Once you get it, you'll have it forever. Once it's gone, you've missed your chance... and that would be a sad ending to what continues to be a great love story," Activision said.
