After months of speculation after she appeared to be wearing losser-fitting clothes and seemed to have a small bump protruding from her slim physique, it has been confirmed that George and Amal Clooney are indeed expectant parents-of twins!

The news that the couple was expecting was finally confirmed by Julie Chen on Thursday during an episode of The Talk, where she revealed that the couple, whom she is friends with, were, like Beyonce and Jay-Z, expecting twins later this year.

Chen was also able to confirm that the couple's twins are set to arrive in June, though there were no details on if the couple were expecting two boys, two girls, or one of each.

After Chen confirmed the news, Matt Damon, another close friend of the couple, also spoke out about their impending joy, admitting that he's known since the Fall, but was the one who advised the pair to wait until they were in a much 'safer' place within the pregnancy before going public with the news.

"I was working with him last fall and he pulled me aside on set and I mean, I almost started crying," Damon admitted. "I was so happy for him. And I was like, 'How far along is she?' And he goes, 'Eight weeks.' [And I said], 'Are you out of your mind? Don't tell anybody else! Don't tell anybody else! Don't you know the 12-week rule?' Like, of course he doesn't. [I told him to ] just shut up... Then four weeks later, I'm like, 'We're good, right?'" and [he said' 'We're good.'"

Damon knows a thing or two about fatherhood, as he and wife Luciana Barroso are the parents of four children. He is a stepfather to his wife's daughter, Alexia, and the pair also have three other daughters together, Isabella, 10, Gia, 8, and Stella, 6.

The news is especially exciting because it is the first time Clooney will become a father, and the news further cements concerns about his commitment to marriage, after the actor refused to marry any of his high-profile girlfriends over the years, until meeting Amal, a civil rights attorney, and marrying her in 2014.

"I'm thrilled for him. She's amazing," Damon added about Amal. "He hit the jackpot. Just on every level. She is a remarkable woman. They're gonna be great. They're gonna be awesome parents. Those kids are lucky."

Like Beyonce and Jay-Z, The Clooneys will be joining an exclusive club of Hollywood celebs who are parents of twins. The group includes Julia Roberts and Danny Moder (Hazel and Phinneaus), Marcia Cross (Eden and Savannah, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony (Max and Emme), Ricky Martin (Matteo and Valentino), Clooney pal Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (Knox and Vivienne), Rebecca Romjin and Jerry O'Connell (Dolly and Charlie), Julie Bowen (John and Gustav), Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick (Marion and Tabitha), Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka (Gideon and Harper) and Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon (Moroccan and Monroe).

Congrats to the happy couple!
