While fans of "Yuri On Ice" are still awaiting updates for the second season, an all-night screening of the series took place on Feb. 11. The said event had a talk show segment as well as guest appearances by the storyboard director, Mitsurou Kubo, and voice actors of Yuri Plisetsky, Yuri Katsuki, and Victor.

According to Crunchy Roll, the "Yuri On Ice" event was a talk show marathon that was live streamed to 47 cinemas in the country. Tickets for the "Yuri On Ice" event were priced at 3,000 Yen each and came with fun stickers and fans with the faces of various series characters.

Blasting News further reports that the "Yuri On Ice" event not only featured a talk show marathon but attendees also got the chance to watch the anime series from Episode 1 to Episode 12 with their fellow fanatics. Weeks before the event, fans were expecting that series creator Mitsurou Kubo might be announcing "Yuri On Ice 2" details during the event. However, there was nothing of that sort that transpired during the event.

Nevertheless, Mitsurou Kubo didn't totally disappoint fans excited for "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 as he revealed that he already has several ideas in mind for the sequel. One of the reasons why fans just can't seem to get enough of "Yuri On Ice" is because of its unpredictability as an anime series. One of the pivotal points of the anime series happened when the protagonist actually experienced failure and embarrassment several times.

Another thing that tugs at the heartstrings of the fans is the risky tackling of sexuality among the characters, which is very rare in anime series. The fans are hopeful that "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 will continue to hover on sexuality and shed light and encouragement to be true to one's self.
