After a few weeks of holiday hiatus, AMC's zombie apocalypse horror drama, "The Walking Dead", finally came back on televisions. With its continuation for the series' seventh season, more and more speculations have been made and posted online, as it is set to air episode 10 next week.

On the previous episode of "The Walking Dead" season 7 titled, "Rock in the Road", it featured Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the rest of the group together again, with some intense and heartfelt scenarios. However, according to a report from Forbes, the episode made the serial drama series different from what it was before.

As per the source, almost every detail shown in the ninth episode was flat. It stated that "The Walking Dead" has turned its focus into uninteresting politics and some boring dialogues. It reportedly showed multiple different communities that the characters, specifically the survivors stumble with upon travelling, which was already shown in some scenes on the previous episodes.

To summarize, the aforementioned source thinks that the midseason premiere did not live up to the expectations of viewers and fans. However, others have been thinking that seeing Rick and the other survivors reuniting is already enough for them to love the episode. There are still few more episodes coming up for "The Walking Dead" season 7 and those were reported to have a unique plot line compared to the previous episodes.

According to a report from Comic Book, the upcoming episode, which is set to air this coming Sunday, will feature the leader of the survivors and leader of a community known as The Kingdom will reportedly be seen working together. On the official promo released for episode 10 of "The Walking Dead" season 7, Rick and King Ezekiel were teased to possibly join force to finally destroy the villain, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan).

As seen in the last minute of the previous episode, a completely different group of people were surrounding Rick Grimes. The character was seen putting on a smile as he has already known that he is getting the backup he needed to fight Negan. Upcoming episodes of "The Walking Dead" season will show whether this is just a possibility or if it really is happening.

Meanwhile, one of the executive producers of the AMC series has reportedly teased some of the events on the upcoming season finale of the series. As per producer Greg Nicotero, "The Walking Dead" season 7 finale is something that the fans and viewers would ever want. It's apparently very emotional, thrilling and powerful, and they could not wait to show it to the series' loyal fans.

"The Walking Dead" season 7 episode 10, titled "New Best Friends", airs on February 19, 2017, on AMC.
