The critically-acclaimed platform game developed by Ubisoft, "Rayman Legends," is now confirmed to come on the upcoming hybrid console Nintendo Switch in the form of Definitive Edition. Fortunately for the fans of the franchise, it seems like they can expect to see something new from the developer once the title arrives on Switch sometime in the coming future.

According to "Rayman Legends" creator, Michel Ancel during his talk with Nintendo UK, fans can certainly expect to see "several surprises" for the Nintendo Switch version of the game, on top of its Kung Foot mode. Ancel, unfortunately, did not go into the full specifics regarding the matter, but he continued to tease that they are "preparing other surprises because the console has a lot of qualities in the multiplayer area."

The "Rayman Legends" creator also shared some of his insights on why he thinks the game is an ideal fit for the Nintendo Switch. "Rayman Legends is like a board game," he continued on the interview. "It means playing with your friends in the same room, and this console is perfect for that. It's the concept of the console we've been waiting for a long time. An HD console, powerful, portable."

"Rayman Legends" is not the only Ubisoft games that fans can expect to see on the Nintendo Switch. GameSpot reported that the dance simulation franchise installment, "Just Dance 2017," as well as the extreme sports, open-world title, "Steep," are also going to be added in the list of compatible games.

So far, the only confirmed title from Ubisoft that will come out on Nintendo Switch on launch day is "Just Dance 2017," as said on Attack of the Fanboy. The developer has yet to release any specific release date for both "Steep" and "Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition" but speculations have it that both titles might come out sometime in Spring 2017. Nintendo Switch is now scheduled to hit the markets on March 3.
