Angelina Jolie is reportedly looking for a publicist as she tries to upgrade her public image, which has taken a beating. She has been putting out feelers to public relations experts to repair her reputation.

It was two years ago that Angelina Jolie declared that she did not like publicists. She is one of the rare A-listers who keeps away from them. Hence, she has been busy with her own work. She did a lot of her public relations work by herself, working seriously on her career as well as her public image, according to E News.

So far, her team of advisers has been pretty formidable. There is a Washington, D.C. crisis specialist Judy Smith, an earlier adviser to Britain's ex-Foreign Secretary Lady Arminka Helic and former British Foreign Secretary aide Chloe Dalton. Angelina Jolie also employed a manager, Geyer Kosinski, who had been working for Angelina till 2013. Lady Arminka Helic and Chloe Dalton were two of Angelina Jolie's good friends that people were rather suspicious of. Their presence was something that Brad Pitt hated, as they had his wife's ear - even when he was in the same room.

However, critics say that her close circles of advisers have been only damaging, rather than helping her. A number of insiders point out that it had not been right to make public the details of her divorce and custody battle. Brad Pitt's legal team explained that she was infringing on her children's private lives when she opened up on the facts.

But now, Angelina Jolie is really in need of publicists in order to make over her image. Many critics have slammed her for launching a "smear campaign" that has been burning her own house, more than Pitt's, they declare. She has kept to herself and her children, just going out with them on occasional shopping tours. Her husband, Brad Pitt, though, is getting back to public life.

Hence, it is Angelina Jolie's loss. The divorce and its seamy, dreary public details haven't been either savoury or nice to her public image. Angelina Jolie really needs a publicist to improve things for her. There are reports that she has been putting out feelers, but no Hollywood publicist has jumped to reach out to her.

Recently, the 41-year-old Oscar-winning actress, Angelina Jolie, directed a movie based on "First They Killed My Father: A Daughter Of Cambodia Remembers" by her friend Loung Ung. That was high profile work, according to Mail Online. But now, she seems to be at a loss in her private life, and wants to improve her public image.
