The highly anticipated "Battlefield 1" Winter Update has finally been rolled out. And just as what some fans have anticipated, it comes with many bug fixes and general improvements to its gameplay. But what got the players really excited is the return of the much-loved Ribbons incentive.

For those who are unfamiliar with the Ribbons incentive, it is basically like an achievement or reward system for the players. According to game developer DICE on its official "Battlefield 1" Winter Update patch notes, fans can now collect 20 Ribbons in the game, and each will come with 300 experience points.

The Ribbons, as what the developer noted, will help promote good team play for the players as well as urge the fans to focus more on objectives. Fortunately, it seems like fans can expect more from this feature as DICE announced its openness for suggestions from the community.

Another major change that DICE added in the "Battlefield 1" Winter Update is the Class Rank system. The max Class Rank has now been capped to 50, and players are now set to receive a battle pack for every time they reach 10 new Class Ranks.

The last two remaining major changes in the latest "Battlefield 1" Winter Update are the unlockable Elite Codex and the ability for the Rent-A-Server admins to kick players. Fans can head over to the official patch notes post to see the full details of the latest Winter Update for the World War I shooter game including the bug fixes, map adjustments, and overall gameplay improvements.

In terms of file size, DICE, unfortunately, hasn't revealed anything regarding the matter on its official post. But GameSpot reported that fans should expect the "Battlefield 1" Winter Update size to be around 2GB - probably on all supported platforms, mainly Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Meanwhile, the first ever expansion for "Battlefield 1," dubbed as "They Shall Not Pass," is now scheduled to come out in March. It will feature a new army faction, the French army, as well as four new maps, new weapons, game mode and others more.
