Fans are desperately trying to piece together any of the clues they can which will help them solve the mystery behind Jack Pearson's (Milo Ventimiglia) sad death on This Is Us, and the latest theory may be the most heart-breaking one yet.

Despite Jack and Rebecca (Mandy Moore) seeming to prove their love was one for the ages and that they wouldn't succumb to the pressures of everyday life like Miguel (Jon Huertas) and his wife, the moment seemed to be somewhat ruined when Rebecca admitted a tour had been offered for her new career as a singer, and she wanted to take it.

However, some fans have feared that the tour (which it appears in a preview for the next episode Rebecca did go on) is an indicator of something awful happening when she leaves-like Jack's death.

A few fans took to social media to put together a few clues that may indicate his death could have happened while she was away-like the fact that present-day Rebecca still feels a connection to her departed husband because she still wears his necklace, despite having since married Miguel, and the earlier reveal that their kids were teenagers when Jack died. As fans also know from another episode earlier in the season, Rebecca began pursuing a career as a singer again when her children were teenagers as well.

Naturally, the fans who have put these clues together and fear the worst are not happy about the reveal.
