"Timeless" Season 1 will be over next week, however, doubts still linger over "Timeless" Season 2. Even actress Sakina Jaffrey is clueless about the revival of the show.

"Timeless" Season 1 finale has startling revelations. In an interview, actress Sakina Jaffrey, who plays special agent Denise Christopher, said that she literally gasped when she read the last episode, Carter Matt claimed. According to her, some amazing things are revealed in the last episode of "Timeless" Season 1 but from there, one can only imagine what would happen next.

When asked if writers Shawn and Eric have given the cast any clues about "Timeless" Season 2, she said that she has no idea. Jaffrey revealed that they did not even know about the last episode until they read it. However, she made it clear that she is hopeful about another season and admitted that their fanbase is growing.

She also praised the writer duo effusively saying that they are bright and have good instincts about anything. Though she does not have any idea if "Timeless" Season 2 would take place, she is overwhelmed by the engagement from her fans and it has made the entire cast optimistic about the future. Speaking of "Timeless" Season 2, NBC has not said anything about the next season but it will have to decide as the finale is near.

According to TVLine, the network has to make the tough call about "Timeless" Season 2. The deadline is drawing near and by mid-May, a step has to be taken. The time-travel series comes with an entertaining past but the future is uncertain. As for the ratings, they have ranged between 1.1-1.2 since October when "Timeless" Season 1 premiered and it has left the series at a critical juncture.

This is not really good news for fans looking forward to "Timeless" Season 2 as the track record of NBC has shown inconsistency, when it comes to such shows. Nevertheless, as actress Sakina Jaffrey said that she is hopeful, fans need not lose hope. An announcement is expected in near future and it will dispel all the doubts.
