The film adaptation of E.L. James' 50 Shades of Grey continues to ignite chatter over the future casting of Christian Grey.

While there have been a slew of prospective suitors for the groundbreaking role of the S&M-crazed billionaire, one name that keeps coming up again and again is Man of Steel lead Henry Cavill.

Although the 30-year-old clearly has the chiseled looks to pull of the Grey role, it turns out that at one time the actor was, by his own account, "fat."

"I was fat... I was Fat Cavill," he told Details Magazine in an interview for its upcoming June/July 2013 issue.

Cavill had also spoken the men's publication in November 2012 about the possibility of playing the kinky CEO, and chose to remain relatively mum on the subject.

"Whether that happens, that decision will be made at the time it has to be made.  It would be a very different kind of thing than Man of Steel," he said.

Screenwriter Kelly Marcel, who is currently working on the movie script, stated that the it would be adhering to the context of the erotica with lots of sex and raunchiness.  Producers are shooting for an NC-17 rating, according to a write-up in Style magazine.

Although the producers have yet to officially attach a director to the franchise, 50 Shades of Grey is slated for its big screen release in summer of 2014.  The film will be shot in London.
