Hilary Duff's former husband, Mike Comrie, is now facing a big controversy as he allegedly raped a woman in West Los Angeles. The ex-NHL player is now under police investigation for sexual battery an LAPD spokesperson confirmed.

"There is an investigation of an alleged sexual battery of Mike Comrie," LAPD Officer Jenny Houser from the Media Relations Division said (via Fox News). However, the legal representative didn't give any more details as they are still investigating what really happened.

A woman, whose name is not revealed, complained that Mike Comrie sexually assaulted her inside his condo on Feb. 11. According to reports, she told the police that she met the 36-year-old Hilary Duff's ex-husband at a bar before the alleged rape happened.

She even accused Mike Comrie of raping her multiple times at his home, TMZ reported. She later went to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and administered with a rape kit. The publication revealed that Hilary Duff's former husband and the woman have known each other for a long time.

Some sources close to Mike Comrie even revealed that he indeed had sex with her, but what happened has her full consent. In fact, there was another woman involved in the deed resulting to a three-way sexual encounter. However, the other lady didn't file a complaint as everything that occurred was consensual.

Representatives of both Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff have yet to give their comments. To recall, the former couple announced their split in January 2014 and was granted a divorce in the same month of 2016.

Mike Comrie and Hilary Duff ended their six years of marriage, but they are now co-parenting their love child Luca, who was born in 2012. The "Lizzie McGuire" star had her son's custody as the judge ruled that the retired professional ice hockey center's "partying could affect" the kid.
