Microsoft will introduce the Surface Pro 5 via the MWC 2017 this February and the release date will follow shortly, says several reports surfacing on the net. Now there are new signs that appear to support such speculations, since the Surface Pro 4 is on sale and more details on the next-generation Windows 10-powered 2-in-1 device have been leaking out, one after other

The Surface Pro 4, according to WCCFTech, is now discounted by up to $200 and the latest discounted deals directly provided by Microsoft offer two Surface Pro 4 models - one powered by Intel Core m3 chip and other by a Core i5 processor. The Pro 4 Core m3 model packs 4GB of RAM support and 128GB of internal memory, the package only asks for $699 and it's ready to take home. Before the deal, Microsoft sells the unit on its online store for an already affordable tag of $899.

However, there is one good reason to skip all these irresistible deals - the Microsoft Surface Pro 5. The upgrade is about to be unveiled real soon if reports and leaks are to be believed. This was tipped by the latest leaked details, which indicate work on the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 has commenced June 2016 and it will be a big jump from the Surface Pro 4.

Another leak is an image of a mystery new Surface device, which was published on Microsoft's French website before being spotted by local website FZN. Image originally dated from November 3, 2016, shows off what are undoubtedly a Surface Pro device, sharing similarities with past releases in terms of its build and design. Interestingly the image's file name was "win10-feature-surface-pro-5-z", which suggests that this could well be the new device.

The second leak is far more substantial. On the LinkedIn profile of Toby Fitch, who is a contracted product designer and worked with Microsoft since June last year. The listing reads, "The team is focused on R&D and creating new speech models with multidisciplinary design approach for devices of the future including but not limited to: HoloLens, Microsoft Surface Pro 5, Xbox."

Unfortunately, Fitch's LinkedIn profile now has a blank section where the job description for his role at Microsoft should be. However, according to leaks, it is clear that Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is not far from now. It might be rollout in the next few weeks or immediately after the Windows 10 Creators Update, which is coming in the month of March.
